This compilation dates to the years 2000 - 2002 when steve knots was making beats in New York using nothing but an MPC2000 and a tape deck.

Emotionally, you can hear a dark & dirty edge in these tracks, with a few moments of light peeking through -- just like life in NYC where everything is paved flat under concrete and sprinkled with broken glass.
